The blog title, 276HP, refers to the Gentleman's Agreement reached by Japanese car manufacturers in 1989. This placed a 276HP limit for sports cars manufactured during the 80's and 90's.

The agreement was officially dissolved around 2005 and is looked back on as a marker for the greatest time in Japanese car manufacturing.
